About, Carmel Convent School

Carmel Convent School established in 1971, is under the management of the institute of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa which is a Registered Society. The school is a Minority Educational Institution and hence gives first preference to Christians, at the time of admission. This is an English Medium School recognised by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Hindi is taught as a second language and is given full importance from the very start, because knowledge of Hindis very essential for a successful career in India. Every student from Std, V1 onwards has to learn a third language Sanskrit. The study of Value Education remains obligatory for all students.

The objective of the institution is to give the girls and boys a sound education under the care of the sisters who regard it as their most sacred duty not only to cultivate the mind but also to form the heart and mould the character of the pupils confided to their duties in life, as good citizens of India by imparting to them a sound, moral, physical and intellectual training.
